[oikawa couldn't believe his eyes when he saw iwaizumi's name suddenly appear on his contact list. he had taken to watching his phone like crazy over the past couple of days. from what he's noticed is that people usually tend to show up in droves the first week of each month.

[the sports centre has definitely become livelier with the new arrivals. with liveliness comes the unfortunate part of messiness and disorganisation... not one to purposely ruin everyone's cheer, makoto has decided to stay behind after a joint volleyball practice and is picking up the balls to set in the net; there's some water bottles left forgotten under the bench, as well as some practice cones, and the net needs to be put down for basketball practice tomorrow...]

[as makoto drags the bag with balls with him towards the storage room to the side of the court, he sighs to himself. it'd be nice to get a little help, but everyone's having fun, so...?]

[ hajime was hoping to put in a bit more practice once everyone else had left. he tries to tell himself that it was only just the usual thing he would do (nothing about "what if i practice more here? will that change things at home?") but when he gets back to the center, he finds the balls put away and makoto dragging them. ]

[oikawa wakes up with his limbs sprawled all over the place (read: certain body parts digging into iwa-chan's ribs) as per the norm. he sniffs a little and hums as he curls in to his boyfriend. he's not quite sure if he's awake or not, but he's about to find out as he nuzzles his head against the crook of iwa-chan's neck.]

[ he's just barely starting to wake up, so all he can say to oikawa right now is a grunt. yes he's awake, but it'll take a bit before he's capable of making sounds more than just that ]

[ given that it's been about a month or so, that the two of them have their own room and really their own house, akaashi figures it's high time to send a little present.

the box is delivered on the doorstep of the house, in a plain white box with a little note on top that says "to; oikawa and iwaizumi-san, from akaashi k.". he could write more, sure, but he's sure the cake says enough. ]

[oikawa likes taking pictures of things so he can look back at them fondly and remember the memories he had when the picture was taken. usually he likes taking selfies of himself (mostly for his ootd. especially when he's on point) random things like sunsets and shit, his boyfriend, and most recently delicious looking food.

he also likes decoing the shit out of said pictures too.

but anyway-- oikawa and iwa-chan are on a casual date night because it's 11/11 and it's national pocky day. but they don't have any pocky to share between them. life is sad, but they move on. and so they decide to split a dessert at said restaurant that they're at. it's like some... cookie pizza thing with ice cream on top?

the athletic in him knew he was going to pay for his decision later, but the foodie in him wanted to at least try it once. so once their waiter delivered their dessert he snapped a picture of it. he snapped a picture of it and looked strangely at said picture. he tilted his head to the side and snickered a bit before he set to work decoing the shit out of it.

a few minutes later iwa-chan will receive this text message.]

[oikawa usually wakes up wayyy before iwa-chan, he just prefers staying in bed pretending to be asleep so he can enjoy the quiet moments he has with iwa-chan. now if the other knows he's up and not asleep is beyond him. but so far he hasn't been discovered.

most of the time he just stays next to iwa-chan enjoying his warmth. but on certain days he likes admiring iwa-chan's backside.

and not... like... his ass no, well okay that's just an added bonus. but he likes looking at iwa-chan's back. it's so big and broad... and more importantly muscular. but that's beside the point. he feels... safe? he feels content knowing that he can rely on the person in front of him.

oikawa hums softly to himself as he continues thinking about iwa-chan and how great he is as he draws nonsensical patterns on his back.]

[ for once, iwaizumi has no knowledge of what oikawa is up to. but for once, he doesn't mind it. the fact that iwaizumi is willing to let himself be so relaxed around oikawa is a testament to their relationship. he can just simply rest and not worry about a thing.

for just as much as oikawa relies on him, iwaizumi relies just as much on oikawa.

together, they can really do anything.
